(If you want to know what images of Gretchen Egolf I actually have, here's a list.)
I suppose you're wondering what this page is for. Well, I needed to replace my monitor, and suddenly I went from having a dark-as-hell monitor to one that I need to keep the brightness cranked all the way down on to match the old one's maxed-out "fry" setting.
And I finally realized how badly washed-out these images are! So I decided to fix 'em. Of course, what about the poor dark-monitor people who used to enjoy this site? Well, I'm turning traitor.:)
But not entirely. All 200%-gammaed images are now down to 150%, as a compromise. And I've provided the originals on this page. Of course, that poses a problem.
A week before, I'd revisited Crashdown.com and realized that they have an image-borrowing policy. Which I'd completely missed. (Ah, even we non-newbies could benefit from more FAQ reading.)
So, technically, I've stolen a lot of this stuff. The stuff on my main pages has been replaced with things I appropriated myself which don't look as good, but at least I can use them with the complete lack of concern I normally show. But, for completeness, I've put the Crashdown.com's here with the rest. Links are to the original images, most of the time.
You know, I just realized that, taken like this, these images are kind of disturbing. Like having a lot of pictures of a person up on a bulletin board in your bedroom or something. I think I'll go hide somewhere and try avoid my darker nature.
For the ALT-tag nearsighted, I've included the ALT tags as italicized text. For the people who like menus getting in their way, I've included the following index. Or, you could just skip it. (New images are next door.)
The biggest sparkler you'd ever hope to find. (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
The biggest firework you'd ever hope to find. (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
She's cute when she's being evil. (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
I know what they've been doing together (almost daily) for over a year now....* (Helman Gallery Party, NYC, September 6, 2000)
* Sharing living expenses, like all married couples. What did you think I meant?
Your dramatic half-lighting is powerless against my excessive gamma correction! (Roswell episode "Skin and Bones", 2000ish)
It's a framing piece. What do you want for free? (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
I stole this from MarcusGraham.net but Marcus isn't even in the shot! (Nicolas, mid/late 2000ish)
Congresswoman Vanessa Whitaker takes a moment to lament the loss of her boyfriend. Of course, she's the one who killed him. (Roswell episode "Ask Not", 2000ish)
The problem with a picture of someone facing left and looking right (at least, if the JPEG compression didn't make 'em look cock-eyed) is that it doesn't look good as a framing piece to the left or the right. (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
The classic you're-a-voter-so-I-have-to-smile smile. (Roswell episode "Surprise", 2000ish)
Color. I'd like color. And better resolution. And more hip showing. (More Lies About Jerzy, very early 2001)
Hey, how'd this Gretchen-free shot sneak in? (Martial Law, 1999ish)
I forget where I got these from. If you know, keep it to yourself. I'm too lazy to update this page.:)
(Stolen from MarcusGraham.net.)
Cute, drunk, and completely blinded to her right. Oooh, baby.
Insert dumb 4th of July joke here.
I didn't need to gamma this one up. No wonder!
She's really not breathing! Oh, it's a still shot, never mind.
This pic is here for the cute factor.
I can't think of anything witty to write.
(Not enough room for a decent ALT tag.:)
Mingling with her oversensitive baboon voters.
So cold of me to cut Jason Connery out of the shot!
(Also stolen from MarcusGraham.net. I think.)
Really sexy. Gretchen isn't looking bad either.
(This image of Mr. and Mrs. Egolf Phillips courtesy of PopPortraits.com. Here's hoping they don't find out I stole it.)
Evil and gamma-corrected. Oooh.
(This image stolen from a subpage of "A Galaxy Far Away". Don't ask me how I keep these things straight.)
I'd give a small portion of blood to have the negatives for this one.
(This image nicked from CurtainUp. Wheee.)
(Still no room for an ALT tag. And I forgot where I stole it from. All I know is that it was an uphill fight to find it.)
Sammo, Walker, and Mar-uh, P.J.
